Go up another 40 metres and you reach the third building in the Albergo Diffuso: the Casa del Fienile (Barn). It is definitely the property with the most history and dates back to the 14th century when they worked with hemp to make rope and other products. These days, it houses 2 rooms, perhaps the ones which are the truest to the Borgo’s soul.
The rooms have characteristic vault ceiling but are a bit smaller than the rooms in the other two buildings and there is a staircase to reach them. These two rooms have two or one small windows facing an internal pedestrian area of the village ( no view)
This room is on the right side of the hallway; it has a small window up high as well as a larger one with shutters. There are 2 beds (85×200 cm) or a queen size bed, minibar, satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, and a wardrobe which was part of Grandma Evelina’s dowry. All this in 18.5 m2 with a vaulted ceiling and light-gray coloured wood flooring. The bathroom includes a spacious shower with professional hair dryer and soap dispensers.
This room is on the left side of the hallway; it has vaulted ceilings and is very intimate at 15.5 m2. It has two comfortable beds (85×200 cm) or a queen size bed, a small window which looks out over the pedestrian piazza below. As always it has a minibar, satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, and a bathroom complete with a corner shower, professional hair dryer, and soap dispensers. The vaulted ceilings and light grey wood flooring complete the welcoming feel of the room.
