With character, eco, family owned boutique hotel. The view from its premises it is amazing and the village very traditional. Elena, her mother and Martina have a great attention to detail, and a huge smile! making you stay your unforgettable experience. All of their products are locally sourced and during your breakfast you also get a small booklet that describes the origin of majority of the products you are eating! The terrace has an extraordinary view of the village and the mountains. You do not feel as a tourist there but more like a local. There is the beach around 20 minutes drive, however I think that the mountains and small villages around the area are more beautiful and great to explore on foot or bicycle ( the hotel has two big books with proposed walks). Our room 11 was also amazing with a big four poster bed (everything used taking into account the environment). On the last floor of the "building" we were staying ( there are three) is also a very beautiful decorated and cosy living room for the colder or rainy days!

Without exaggeration this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever been. The rooms are clean and spacious, the service is superb and super friendly, and the breakfast is amazing. Everything, from the tiniest details, is thought through. On top of that, the hotel lies in a beautiful village with a great restaurant right across the street, tipped by the hotel staff. There is absolutely nothing I can think off that should have been better. I loved it here!!

We have celebrated our first wedding anniversary this amazing place. The staff is so welcoming and the place is just a dream come true. As I have special diet requirements I’ve emailed the hotel about my allergies and everything was taken care of into all the details. I can’t imagine to be in a better place than this. Big applause for all the staff who made our stay so amazing.

Since some time we’ve discovered the small paradise of Relais del Maro at charming Borgomaro. We’ve visited now a few times already as it seems to us one of the most friendly places we know of. Elena and staff have been so enormously well taken care of us every time we come « home », all small details are well thought about. Elena provides information for hikes, touring the area, restaurants, local crafts companies as well as, wine producers, olive oil, cheeses and lots more! You find in her small homemade booklets enough information so you want to stay for a year to discover all of the local beautiful things, or you come back frequently! Animals are welcome as in no other place in the world, they get their own bed , little bowl and some nice cookies upon arrival! Afternoon tea is great as well as the aperitif and for lunch you better stay at the beautiful setting of the Relais! Breakfast is a buffet you’ve never seen before with everything you need and lots very creative items you’ve never had before at any place!
